Prepare to Lift in Worplesdon, Woking, Learn to Lift

Our Prepare to Lift courses are designed to teach you how to safely lift weights and get fit, in a friendly and supportive environment. The sessions are limited to a maximum of 12 participants; you will receive individual attention from the qualified staff ensuring correct technique and provided expert advise. 

The courses are run by Robbie Trimm MSc in the state-of-the-art Advance Performance Lab, in Worplesdon, between Woking and Guildford

The Prepare to Lift course is run over a period of eight-weeks and offers levels of difficulty to cater for all experience and fitness levels, from complete beginners to budding lifters.

For beginners and experienced lifters alike, we start with an introduction to weight and strength training methods. This course will suit you if you have little to no gym experience or have experience but need a little more guidance. The focus of the course will be on movement co-ordination and the learning of a series of exercises. Ideal for those are looking to increase load and variability into your gym routine. We will cover basic lifts such a squat, deadlift, lunge, overhead press and bench press along with multiple variations.

You will be guided through your eight-week programme by an experienced strength coach both in person and via our unique app. The app will provide additional programming, track and monitor load and personal bests as well as provided easy to understand education on nutrition, training methods, recovery whilst indirectly support your health and wellbeing. We will also visit speed and plyometrics thus combining different flavours of these training modalities into additional challenges and workouts.

The course concludes with an introduction to Olympic Lifting. Perfect for those that are looking to learn or improve your Olympic weightlifting, for example snatch and, clean and jerk which will be covered along with easy to learn derivatives.
